How we work
Start small. Build on what works.
You decide whether to continue after every stage.
One step at a time.
Each stage is a separate decision.
- 01
Blueprint
Review one problem and agree on the next step.
- 02
Pilot
Test with your team, clear measures, owners, and limits.
- 03
Controlled scale
Expand, adjust, or stop based on the results.
What you get from a Blueprint
A paid, fixed-scope assessment of one problem. You get a recommendation: build, prepare, change direction, or stop. Any next stage is a separate decision.
- Decision brief
- Our recommendation, the options, and why.
- Workflow map
- The steps, owners, and points to improve.
- Readiness and risk check
- What is ready, missing, or at risk.
- Pilot plan
- One test, with owners, measures, limits, and stop rules.
Training and handover
Your team learns on the real work. Training, operating guides, support roles, and handover are planned from the start.
You stay in control.
A named person owns each important decision.
We agree who approves, who handles problems, and who can stop the work.
Review record: Owner, approval, and escalation map
Your operational data stays under your control.
Operational data stays in environments you control. We keep necessary delivery artifacts in a separate private repository under agreed access, retention, and handover terms.
Review record: Access and environment boundary
Advice that fits your needs.
We disclose commercial ties and compare building, buying, partnering, or doing nothing.
Review record: Build-versus-buy decision record
Security, testing, and independent review.
We write down what we built and how we tested it. For live or high-risk systems, a qualified person who did not build it checks it too.

Common questions
Your written agreement sets the scope and terms.
How do we agree on the scope, cost, and timing?
For a Blueprint, the written proposal sets a fixed scope and fee, the payment schedule, what your team provides, and the timing. If access or people are not available, the timeline and the confidence of the findings can change. Any material change to the scope needs written agreement. A pilot is a separate decision.
What does our team need to contribute?
A senior sponsor, a day-to-day owner, and the people who know the work. We also need access to the agreed data or code, any numbers you already track, and timely feedback. Data, security, legal, or privacy specialists join when the work needs them.
Do we need to use a particular vendor or model?
No. We recommend what fits your needs and write down why. We tell you about any commercial ties and where our experience is deeper, and we compare building, buying, partnering, and doing nothing when it matters.
Where does the work run?
Your operational data, runtime, identity systems, and secrets remain in environments you control. We normally keep necessary delivery artifacts in a separate private Aqlumen repository under agreed access, retention, and handover terms. We use client-owned source control where your engagement requires it.
How will our team learn to run it?
Training is part of the work, at a depth agreed up front. The people who build, review, and run the system learn on the real workflow. Handover includes clear documentation, who supports what, and how to check, stop, or recover the system.
Who reviews the work and approves release?
A named person on your side approves decisions and releases. Live or high-risk work is also checked by a qualified person who did not build it. That review records what was found and what risks remain; it is not a formal audit or certification. The approval steps match the risk.
What remains with the client?
You control your operational data and client-specific implementation, with handover planned from the start. Aqlumen retains its reusable agents, skills, methods, and generalized components, including eligible improvements developed during delivery. The agreement identifies included reusable components and your rights to use them. Our shared library excludes confidential client information and business rules.
Can you help if we do not have an engineering team?
Yes. Through Engineering Foundations, we design your first team, set up the tools and safeguards in accounts you own, and help you hire. Then we train the team and hand over in stages. You hire and employ the team; we do not supply staff or run it for you.
What happens after a pilot?
The results help you decide whether to expand, adjust, or stop. Work expands one part of the business at a time, and only when the value is clear and the safeguards, owners, and support are ready. If you want, we can keep reviewing it afterward, without making you depend on us.
